63 miles... a perfect day.
Went with ruth -- nice little town with old shops...
Met other cyclists who were faster than me...
For awhile I was last. The SAG vehicle was on my tail for some of the worst climbs. I later (with much effort ) overtook an old lady and the SAG guy was on her tail -- HA!

Better Days

Hi, it's been awhile...
I've fixed a bunch of messy and aggravating loose ends in the last few days. I've been a little run down and depressed, but less so the past two days...
My milage has been steady. I'm now biking with 30 lbs of bricks with my 25 lbs of misc gear in panniers. I'm slow, but feeling strong.
I'll be in lewisburg, wv this weekend for a ride...

Today's adventures

This morning Ruth got me up @6am to run in a local 5k run... We parked about 1.5mi away... She wanted a good warm up and cool down. Overall, it was fun. I have noticed that most participants in fun runs are in their 40s and 50s. Not many late 20s and 30 yr olds... Curious...
Right now i'm taking a breather from biking - just on the opposite side of the bridge that you see.
Tonight is a birthday and belated fathers day dinner for Sharon and me.

waiting for appt w sleep ctr... i'm sleeping like a baby lately... they put me on anti parkinson med for restless leg and iron... they discovered im iron deficient... had sleep study, but slept through it... they want to do upper and lower gi studies ... at 45 its prudent to ck, but gastroent bleeding is not a prob... overall, i feel great... oh well....

have worked my way through knee prob ... lt itb inflam... now riding as i was mid may... but w new bike ... awesome ... and w panniers... has been hot as shit...

got an overnighter planned w chris tomorrow ... wtf... should be fun...

need to call and catch up w cousins aunt, sis's and dad...

just called into see dr

Willy Johnson's Pecker

A patient was sent to me with a large skin tag on his heel. It was a rather impressive lesion. It was very large and in an unusual location. The lesion was elongated and nearly an inch in length.

The older gentleman had a great sense of humor and I commented that the lesion looked like a pecker. He thought that was funny, but added that his buddies would be impressed to know that he has to walk on his toes to keep from stepping on his Willy Johnson.
